Elinor T Vanderburg is a writer, performer, designer, composer, ex-flight attendant, and former wand saleswoman from Washington, DC., who seeks to trouble and transport audiences to new vantage points through the merging of story, language, and design–which, practically speaking, takes the form of play and musical writing, costume design, and performance art. Her work has been featured at Exit Art, The Grace Exhibition Space, Panoply Performance Lab, the Scope Fair, and SheNYC, and she has collaborated with Non Grata, Built For Collapse, Title:Point, WiseFish, and Exquisite Corpse. You can hear her as Aisha the Water Fairy in the Netflix series, World of Winx, and this winter, she will be mentoring high school students in playwriting through SheNYC’s new CreatHer program. Between 10 and 6 on weekdays, Elinor moonlights as an agent at Illustration Division, where she represents an international roster of commercial artists. She earned her BFA from NYU/Tisch like a hundred years ago, and she has lived in Brooklyn for almost as long.
