A four hour street theatre festival through the East Village.
June 5th, 2009
Even though our first outdoor Fresh Ground Pepper was welcomed with a summer storm, they couldn’t rain on our parade. Starting at 5:00pm, Drew Vanderburg and the New York City Street Players led a group of dedicated FGPers through the East Village and Lower East Side on a tour of curated street theatre pieces. The performers braved the wind and rain, waiting for the parade to arrive and each gave all they had to us onlookers. We ended with a beautiful new dance piece, performed in the rain and mud at the East River Amphitheater.
